Reference exchange rate down 8 VND

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,254 VND per USD on May 6, down 8 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of  +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,951 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,556 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at some commercial banks saw slight fluctuations.

At 8:25am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,300 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,510 VND/USD, both down 10 VND from May 5.

Meanwhile, the rates listed by BIDV stayed unchanged at 23,350 VND/USD (buying), and 23,530 VND/USD (selling).

Techcombank added 4 VND to both rates, listing the buying rate at 23,331 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,531 VND/USD./.
